The Surprising Reason I have a TikTok

For a long while, I figured TikTok was just a Vines imitation. So I decided to wait until the hype died down a little. It didn’t. So I downloaded TikTok then started exploring!

As soon as I completed setting up my profile, I searched for a few of my friends and a few of my favorite YouTubers. Then, I’d thought to check out what type of content people release. To my surprise, I found a lot of helpful content relating to parenting, ADHD, homeschooling, organization, etc. Sure, I found some humorous content, but once I found the helpful content, I was hooked! To top it off, I’m constantly finding new stuff every day from doctors, educators, mental health professionals, and even law enforcement.

Since TikTok became my new Pinterest, I’ve rarely touched my Pinterest. I haven’t exactly felt inspired to put a board together or anything. However, I can always go back to it later for any ideas I had saved. Still… something more interesting happened….

I have not posted any videos on the app. (It’s because I’m camera shy, but that’s not the surprising part.) How did I get any followers??? At the moment I have only 8 followers. That’s not much, but only 5 of them are my actual friends. Another one is someone I follow for parental hacks. So where did the other two come from? Mind you, I had other followers that I’ve deleted because… well, due to past experiences, I don’t really like men following me on social media. (This platform doesn’t count.)

Will I be releasing any content? More than likely. I’ll need a way to promote the podcast I’ll be doing. Will I be doing anything that’s trending? Ew. No. I’m not that kind of person. By the way, I’m working on getting my Linktree account in order so that one link will lead you to a menu of all my social media accounts. With a fussy, teething toddler and a defiant, elementary homeschool student, creating my “brand" (I guess) is taking some time. Either way, I’ll keep everyone posted! ¡Hasta luego!

Picture a world where there's always action, drama, a musical sequence, and an ending that's either really good or really bad. That's every day of my life.
